 ud alumnus of our quality local education system\, having graduated with h
 onors from San Marcos High School\, followed shorty by his graduation from
  the School of Media Arts at SB City College\, where he earned three natio
 nal awards. He went on to earn a degree from UCSB\, where he received high
  honors in the Film Department\, and won UCLA's Best Documentary award for
  his senior film project. Oscar was elected to the City Council in 2018.
