THE INSIDER'S GUIDE TO RECYCLING
Tuesday, July 28, 2009 (5:30-6:45pm)
@ The Faulkner Gallery, SB Public Library (40 E. Anapamu St.)
This free community workshop was a great opportunity for people who wanted to become better at recycling and wanted to learn not only the basics, but also some unexpected tips and resources to help them do so.
Often the largest obstacle to effective recycling, which can even prevent someone from recycling at all, is a
lack of knowledge. People may also be unaware of certain recycling opportunities of which they can take advantage. Workshop facilitator Celeste Carlisle, Outreach Coordinator for the City of Santa Barbara’s Environmental
Services Division, shared with workshop attendees her insider's guide to recycling, as well as useful tips and resources, at this free interactive community
workshop! And attendees asked great questions and shared their own tips and ideas.
Participants were provided resource packets filled with printed reference materials, tips, and more!
